From May 30 to June 1, the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) destroyer JS Ikazuchi made a port call at the Port of Davao.
On May 30, Consul General Ono accompanied Davao City Mayor Hon. Sebastian Z. Duterte during his tour of the vessel and attended the courtesy meeting with Commander Ryuso Nobukazu.
