Consul General ISHIKAWA signs a grant contract for a project under the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security (GGP) with the Balutakay Coffee Farmers Cooperative (BACOFA)

On January 14, Consul General ISHIKAWA and Balutakay Coffee Farmers Cooperative Chairperson Rogelio Gonzales signed a grant contract of “The Project for the Provision of Coffee Warehouse and Processing Machines in Bansalan” under Japan’s Official Grant Assistance (ODA) for Grassroots Human Security Project (GGP). The said grant, up to 61,065 US dollars (approximately 3.4 million pesos), will be used to build a coffee warehouse and procure roasting and grinding machines. This project aims to improve coffee processing facilities, empower farmers and improve their livelihoods.
