Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between Davao City and Hamamatsu City

On October 29, the Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Davao City and Hamamatsu City was held in Davao City. Hon. Mayor Sebastian "Baste" Duterte and Hon. Mayor NAKANO Yusuke signed the MOU. Officials from both cities, Philippine government organizations and many Japanese companies from Hamamatsu attended the ceremony. Consul General ISHIKAWA also witnessed the signing. The MOU aims to pursue closer ties and collaboration, aligning both cities' shared ambitions for mutual growth and development especially in the fields of education and industry. Hamamatsu City is the third Japanese city that promotes cooperation with Davao City after Kitakyusyu City, an environmental sister city of Davao (2017), and Sennan City, the second sister city of Davao (2023).
