Consul General ISHIKAWA signs a grant contract for a project under the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security (GGP) with BAMATA Tribal Council

On October 14, Consul General ISHIKAWA and BAMATA Tribal Council President Balvino S. Andaya signed a grant contract for “The Project for the Construction of Training Center for BAMATA Community in Agusan del Sur” under Japan’s Official Grant Assistance (ODA) for Grassroots Human Security Project (GGP). The said grant, up to 62,560 US dollars (approximately 3.53 million pesos), will be used to construct a training center for BAMATA Community. This project aims to uplift the socio-economic conditions of the Banowaon, Manobo, and Talaandig indigenous communities by providing a facility for skills training and capacity-building activities.
