Consul General ISHIKAWA signs a grant contract for a project under the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security (GGP) with the Provincial Local Government Unit of Davao del Sur

On August 30, Consul General ISHIKAWA and Davao del Sur Governor Hon. Yvonne Roña-Cagas signed a grant contract of “The Project for the Construction of New Clarin National High School in Davao del Sur” under Japan’s Official Grant Assistance (ODA) for Grassroots Human Security Project (GGP). The said grant, up to 169,381 US dollars (approximately 9.96 million pesos), will be used to construct eleven new classrooms with toilets in New Clarin National High School. After a series of earthquakes in 2019, the original school buildings were damaged, and students have been forced to study in temporary learning shelters. This project assures a safe environment for students and contributes to the improvement of the quality of education in the area.
