     On February 15, Consul General ISHIKAWA hosted a National Day Reception to celebrate the birthday of His Majesty The Emperor of Japan in SMX Convention Center Davao. Around 250 guests joined the reception. Vice Mayor of the City Government of Davao J. Melchor Quitain, Jr. delivered the message of Mayor Sebastian Z. Duterte, and Mayor YAMAMOTO Yuma of Sennan City, a sister city with Davao, also gave a speech. This year, sixteen booths were set up by sister cities and Japanese companies, and furthered deepening Japan-Mindanao interactions.
