     On January 30, Consul General ISHIKAWA attended the turn-over ceremony of the Project for the Provision of Agricultural Equipment for United Farmers Association, Inc. in Bansalan with the support of the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) of Japan.
     The project will eliminate delays in cultivation management by rice farmers, including land preparation, harvesting and threshing, and contribute to the elimination of rice production losses and the improvement of farmers' livelihoods.
     Consul General Ishikawa Yoshihisa, UNIFARM chairperson Norberto Valdez, Bansalan Mayor Edwin Reyes, former Governor Marc Douglas Cagas IV, National Irrigation Administration Manager Engr. Dexter Tinapay, officers from the provincial and municipal government offices, and UNIFARM officers and members graced the ceremony with their presence.
