On October 9, Consul General Ishikawa paid a courtesy call on the new Commander of the Coast Guard District Southeastern Mindanao, CG Commodore Rejard V. MARFE.
Both exchanged their opinions on the longstanding cooperation between Japan Coast Guard and the Philippine Coast Guard, Japan's provision of the multi-role response vessels to the PCG, as well as the current security situation in the South China Sea.
