Consul General ISHIKAWA signed a grant contract of a project of the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security (GGP) (Mindanao Children’s Library Foundation)

     On September 20, Consul General ISHIKAWA and Mr. Matsui Tomo, Executive Director of Mindanao Children’s Library (MCL) Foundation signed a grant contract of “The Project for Provision of Rice Milling Facilities and Equipment for Self-Sufficiency of Student Dormitory in the Province of Cotabato” under Japan’s Official Grant Assistance (ODA) for Grassroots Human Security Project (GGP). The said grant, up to 104,271 US dollars (approximately 5.78 million pesos), will be used to construct rice drying and milling facilities as well as procure rice milling equipment for MCL. Through the improvement of rice post-harvest facilities, the project would greatly contribute to a stable food supply and educational environment for the students from poor families under MCL’s support.
