Consul General ISHIKAWA signed a grant contract of a project of the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security (GGP) (Local Government Unit of Surigao City)

     On September 20, Consul General ISHIKAWA and Surigao City mayor Hon. Pablo Yves L. Dumlao II signed a grant contract of “The Project for Procurement of Mobile X-Ray System in Surigao City, Province of Surigao del Norte” under Japan’s Official Grant Assistance (ODA) for Grassroots Human Security Project (GGP). The said grant, up to 65,867 US dollars (approximately 3.55 million pesos), will be used to procure Mobile X-Ray for the City Health Office in Surigao City. The project will enable proper medical examination including respiratory diseases and internal organ diseases, and not only poor people in the city center can benefit but also island residents would be able to access the X-ray machine through mobile health clinic. This project contributes to the improvement of the medical service in the city.
