Sister City Agreement Ceremony for Davao City and Sennan City

     On April 25, in Sennan City of Osaka Prefecture, a signing ceremony for the sister city agreement between Davao City and Sennan City was held. Hon. Mayor Sebastian "Baste" Duterte and Hon. Mayor Yamamoto Yuma signed the agreement. Sennan City is the second Japanese sister city of Davao City, after Kitakyusyu City, which is an environmental sister city of Davao. More than 20 delegation members such as Davao City Councilors, city officials in-charge of investment and tourism, and private business executives visited Japan for the event. Consul General Ishikawa, who was on leave back in Japan, also witnessed the signing ceremony and delivered a speech in the business forum which was held after the ceremony. It is strongly expected that trade, investment, tourism, education and human exchanges will be promoted by this agreement.
