Consul General Ishikawa participated in turnover ceremonies for Emergency Grant Aid (implemented by IOM) in Siargao Island

On November 23 and 24, Consul General Ishikawa participated in turnover ceremony and programs for Emergency Grant Aid for the Philippines in response to typhoon disaster, implemented by IOM, in Siargao Island. Medical vehicles and equipment such as medical cold chain transports and potable diagnostic ultrasounds were handed over to the local government of units, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte including Siargao Island, and Southern Leyte, at the ceremony.
The government of Japan provided the Emergency Grant Aid to implement humanitarian assistant activities for survivors of the Typhoon Odette disaster in the central and southern parts of the Philippines, through multiple international organizations including IOM, in the areas such as food, non-food items, health and water and sanitation.
