Consul General Ishikawa signed a grant contract of a project of the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security (GGP)
On November 3, Consul General Ishikawa and Mayor Jorjan Federiso of Municipality of New Corella, Davao del Norte, signed a grant contract of “The Project for Procurement of Medical Laboratry Equipment, New Corella” under Japan’s Official Grant Assistance (ODA) for Grassroots Human Security Project (GGP). The said grant, up to 76,236 US dollars (approximately 4.27 million pesos), will be used to procure 12 medical laboratory equipment which for a newly constructed facility of health infirmary in New Corella. Due to lack of medical equipment in the municipal health center, patients need to go to Tagum City, 20km away from the center, to get tests and diagnosed. The equipment provided by this project would greatly help improving medical environment such as early detection of disease and getting proper treatment which have been difficult to be dealt with in the current infirmary.
