Consul General Ishikawa visited Coffee farmers (BACOFA Coop.)

On August 18, Consul General Ishikawa visited coffee farms (Balutakay Coffee Farmers Agriculture Cooperative: BACOFA Coop) in the middle of Mt. Apo, located in Sitio Balutakay, Brgy. Managa, Municipality of Bansalan. BACOFA Coop has been producing, processing and selling high-quality coffee beans as called specialty coffee, with supports by NGOs, the government agencies such as DA and DTI and Japanese supporters. The coop has already produced many farmers who won high-ranking prizes on annual Philippine Coffee Quality Competition. Surprisingly it is only less than 10 years since they launched coffee business.
