Consul General Ishikawa visits General Santos City

On July 19 - 20, Consul General Ishikawa paid a courtesy call on General Santos City Mayor Lorelie G. Pacquiao, and visited a plant of a Japanese company (i.e. Ten Point Manufacturing Corporation which is an overseas plant of Pesca Rich Corporation in Japan) and the fish port in the ‘Tuna Capital’ of the Philippines. The plant has been processing fresh inshore tunas into frozen ones for sashimi and then exporting its products mainly to Japan, and partially to North America and Europe. General Santos City Fish Port was developed by Japan’s ODA and is nowadays one of the biggest fish ports in the Philippines.
