2019/7/12
On July 5, Consul General Miwa attended Nyuugakusiki of Mindanao Kokusai Daigaku (MKD). In his message to the new students, Consul General Miwa said that he hopes they become citizens who will contribute to the development of the regional society and the bilateral relationship by being a bridge between Philippines and Japan.

Established in 2001, MKD offers seven major courses and have consistently achieved excellent results in the Japanese speech contest organized by the Japan Foundation in Manila.

Among the recent highlights in the history of MKD is the visit of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Madame Akie Abe to MKD in January 2017. In February 2019, Foreign Minister Taro Kono and Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr., of the Philippines also visited MKD.
